Commissions Process

I approach every new commission as I approach every new painting, with a color palette.  Being an abstract artist I can not tell you exactly what the outcome will be so our first discussion usually centers around the essential factors of the project.  

1. Budget/Contract
2. Size
3. Color Palette 
4. Style

After the initial conversation about the pricing and contract have been settled I will move on to viewing the intended home for the piece(s) to discuss sizing needs and placement. Having an interior design background, the color selection is my favorite part! This too, is where you have some say in the creative process which will put you at ease.  After the meeting I will go and put together the color palette so you can view and approve it before I invest in any supplies.  Meanwhile, you have the opportunity to browse some of my works here on the website, for an idea of my painting style.  We can then discuss your thoughts for the project.  

That is when the painting will commence and at that point, you will not see it until it is completed.  If local, I deliver and would be happy to help with the hanging of the piece(s) if preferred.  I understand this process can be nerve wrecking for you since you are handing over creative control. However, this is where their interest in my work has led you to hire me and hopefully trust in the process.
